A 2 day trip with 2 little film(s)
A trip to Kranjska Gora and Fusine lakes
Mistake of the trip: Not remembering that inspiration strikes when you don’t expect it.
Thinking this will not be a photo trip, but more of a “hiking/enjoying the nature without a camera” type of trip, I brought too little film. Just one roll of Kodak Gold (color film) and one roll of Ilford HP5+ (B&W). That is 72 photos. Soon after starting the hike around the beautiful Fusine lakes, I noticed my finger was very eager to press the shutter again and again. Having shot half of the first roll in the first hour of a two day trip, I realised I had to slow down.
I enjoyed the beautiful, amazing nature and tried to make every shot count. I would often raise the camera, focus and then change my mind. That might not have been that bad of a thing after all, so the mistake of the trip was also a good lesson and a challenge.
I really like the colors of Kodak Gold in those images. I feel like you can really feel the freshness of the air and the warmth of the sun. Though I hated not bringing more color film and had to settle for a roll of B&W, I think they compliment the color images nicely. You be the judge.
By no means is this my best work, but I think it captures the vibe of the trip very well.
I wanted to make this blog more photo-based so here is where I stop babbling and you start looking at pictures. Deal? Enjoy! :)

All images shot on a Nikomat FT-2 with a Nikkor 50mm f2. Kodak Gold 200 and Ilford HP5+.
